Melanotan 2 10mg

Melanotan 2 (MT-2) is a synthetic peptide analog of the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), originally designed at the University of Arizona in the 90s as a strategy to prevent skin cancer by inducing endogenous tanning prior to intense sun exposure. Its affinity for melanocortin receptors surpasses that of natural α-MSH.

Molecular structure:

• Cyclic structure, which extends its half-life versus linear α-MSH
• Molecular weight: 342.4 Da
• High affinity for MC1R (melanogenesis) and MC4R (sexual function and appetite)
• Lower affinity for MC2R, avoiding adrenal activation

Reconstitution: 2 ml of bacteriostatic water in a 10 mg vial. Concentration: 5,000 mcg/ml.

Common adverse events: nausea (especially first doses), facial flushing, increased libido, darkening of pre-existing moles, appearance of new moles.

Punto crítico: dermatologically assess any new mole or change in existing moles during and after the protocol. Generalized melanocyte stimulation may darken pre-existing pigmented lesions, which could mask or mimic neoplastic changes.

Contraindications: active or suspected melanoma, family history of melanoma without prior dermatological evaluation, pregnancy and lactation.
