What is it and how does it work?

Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10) is the bioactive C-terminal fragment of the KISS1 gene product. It binds to the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor on hypothalamic GnRH neurons, triggering pulsatile GnRH release that stimulates LH and FSH secretion in neuroendocrine studies. The literature documents effects on LH/testosterone in animal models and in exploratory clinical trials of the HPG axis.

Documented evidence: Chan YM et al. (JCEM 2011, PMID 21632807) reported that IV boluses of 0.24 nmol/kg raise LH with a peak at 30-60 min in pharmacokinetic studies in healthy men as a functional axis diagnostic. George JT, Veldhuis JD et al. (Clin Endocrinol 2013, PMID 23153270) documented 4 mcg/kg/h × 11h infusion in exploratory studies. Comninos AN et al.
