🔹 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
10 ml vial of 0.6% acetic acid solution in sterile water, formulated specifically for AOD 9604 reconstitution in research applications. This peptide in particular exhibits accelerated degradation in standard bacteriostatic water, so it requires an acidic solvent to maintain solution stability during the experimental period.
Why acetic acid and not bacteriostatic water for AOD 9604?
The C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone (AOD 9604) has an isoelectric pK that favors aggregation at neutral pH. In slightly acidic medium (pH 4.0-5.0), the molecule maintains its active conformation and resists enzymatic degradation and potency loss during refrigerated storage.
🧪 LABORATORY PREPARATION
To reconstitute a 5 mg AOD 9604 vial, add 2 ml of acetic acid to the lyophilized vial following standard laboratory procedure (slow solvent injection down the inner wall of the vial, without shaking, gentle mixing until dissolved).
Resulting concentration: 2,500 mcg/ml. As a volumetric laboratory reference, a 300 to 500 mcg aliquot corresponds to 12 to 20 units on the U-100 scale.
Store the reconstituted vial refrigerated. Acetic acid maintains stability for up to 30 days post-reconstitution without significant loss of potency.
⚠️ CONSIDERATIONS
Technical research product. Do not use as a solvent for other peptides requiring neutral pH (BPC-157, TB-500, Tirzepatide, etc.). Acetic acid may compromise the activity of pH-acid-sensitive peptides.
